All the strawberry festivals in Texas we can find are listed on this page! If you love strawberries, look for a festival near you below! And I'm always looking for more strawberry festivals! Please write me, if you know of any to add!  I update the dates as soon as the festivals publish their information, but you can always click on the links (usually the name of the festival) to see the current information on the festival's own website. 

I update this list every year, but still click on the links to the festival (the blue, underlined name of the each festival) to confirm this year's dates on the website for each festival. They may change or cancel at the last minute. . If they don't have a website, call the phone number provided, but ALWAYS CONFIRM THIS YEAR'S DATES AND TIMES BY EITHER VIEWING THEIR WEBSITE OR CALLING.

Texas 2018 Strawberry Festivals - Where, When and More Details!

There are two general types of strawberry festivals 1) community festivals, usually organized by a church, school, local Chamber of commerce or a town and 2). Strawberry festival held at and by a farm

They are different in what they offer, so they are grouped separately. (of course not all states and areas have both. And following the festival listings are links to our easy to follow directions about making strawberry jam, freezing strawberries, strawberry pies and much more. 

Community Strawberry Festivals

  • Pasdena Strawberry Festival - mid May weekend (May 18 to 20, 2018, check their website for other year's dates)
    Fairgrounds, 7603 Red Bluff Rd, Pasadena, TX 77507. Phone: (281) 991-9500. Email: [email protected]. Presenting Texas' largest Strawberry Shortcake again this year! Be sure and have a heapin' helpin' of this great Texas tradition. Enjoy this year's carnival provided by Crabtree Amusements, with lots of fun and exciting rides with daily ride specials (to be announced).  There's also a children's entertainment and activity area with FREE games, clowns, a petting zoo, pony rides, and historical craft demonstrations by Armand Bayou Nature Center.  And MANY other events! Credit cards or checks are not accepted for the purchase of admission tickets or coupons at the grounds. Pets are not allowed on the Fairgrounds.   • Poteet Strawberry Festival - It is held over three days during the second weekend in mid April. (April 13 to 15 in 2018 - check their website for other year's dates)
    One of the oldest, most popular events in the state of Texas, the Annual Poteet Strawberry Festival is recognized as the largest agricultural fete in Texas as well as one of the most exciting, most dynamic festivals in the Greater Southwest. The 95 acre site which is located on Hwy. 16, 20 minutes south of San Antonio, offers free parking, clean public restrooms, handicapped accessibility, complete RV facilities, and tent covered activities during the fun filled Festival Weekend. The Poteet Strawberry Festival includes ten areas of continuous, family entertainment featuring concerts with nationally know Country / Western and Tejano stars, dancers, gunslingers, clowns, puppets, regional bands, various contests, and rodeo performances. These activities are included in the price of an admission ticket. Children under the age of 10 are admitted free of charge.  Phone: (210) 742-8144. Poteet is a small town on State Highway 16, just outside of San Antonio, TX, and is the "Strawberry Capital of Texas".

Farm Strawberry Festivals

In addition to community and church festivals, some private farms have their own strawberry festivals in June.  See each farm for this year's dates (they often do not announce them until the end of May).
