Comments from a visitor on June 01, 2012: "LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!"
Comments from a visitor on September 17, 2010: " I Love this Farm !!!!!! Another great year for Mr. Charlie and his family. They have the best produce I have ever seen. And for 8.00 a five gallon bucket the prices can't be beat. If your looking for fresh produce and you live within 100 miles of this farm you really need to go there, you won't be disappointed. Tomatoes. Potatoes, Onions, Beans, Squash, Corn, Peppers, Carrots, Okra, Peas, Watermelons, Cantaloupes, and I'm sure I'm missing some things. They may also have a U-Pick strawberry field next spring. I can't wait for next year. The best PYO in Mississippi. "
Comments from a visitor on June 12, 2010: "I loved the farm but no shade of trees. Bring ice chest with water and something to eat in the heat. Bring long sleeves for the okra and other tall itching plants. Port O let were available and cold drinks were .50. Their are other veg and fruit for sale under the pavilion. Their are different types of tomatoes as well as beans. I have never heard of zipper beans or noodle beans??? Could not find them anyway. Their web site is updated for what veg will be in season at that time and for how long and what has been picked out. They insist to bring your own bucket. They have 100 acres of : yellow, white corn, Potatoes, onions, zuk, squash, okra, bell peppers, carrots, tomatoes, pole beans, butter beans, pinkeye purple hull peas, zipper beans, snap beans, banana peppers, jalapeno peppers, speckle beans, eggplant, watermelon, cantaloupe, onions, Sunflowers. But, I am sure I am missing a few. Map of where each veg is and road leading to them even inside the rows vehicles are able to drive through. Most importantly bring your own 5gal. bucket, they charge $8.00 for what ever is in the bucket no matter what is in it. It was great fun and great for the whole family well worth the drive. Of course except for the corn at $8.00 a bucket. I would have came out smelling like a rose if I had paid for each ear of corn. I managed to put 20 ears of corn in a 5gal bucket, but they actually charge .20 cents per ear of corn. I felt jipped because I should have paid .20 cents for each corn instead of them charging for the 8.00. "
Comments from a visitor on August 02, 2008: "I found this farm this year and would like to tell everyone how great this farm is. They have a variety of vegetables such a corn, peppers, peas butter beans, eggplant, and tomatoes. The fields are clean with walking and driving paths. You drive in and pick to your hearts content. The only problem is trying to leave. There is so much to pick its hard to quit. Everyone is extremely friendly and the prices are great. Their tomatoes are some of the best I have ever had. It was well worth the drive. I canned over 100 quarts of tomatoes in various ways . Told you it was hard to leave, there were so many big beautiful tomatoes I just could not help myself. Also they have already picked for you watermelons, tomatoes, cantaloupe, corn and onions. If locals have not tried this farm they need to do so next year, they won't be disappointed. "

Home Canning Kits

Features:

Ball Enamel Waterbath Canner, Including Chrome-Plated Rack and 4-Piece Utensil Set

* All the tools you need for hot waterbath canning - in one comprehensive set!
* Complete with 21 1/2 qt. enameled waterbath canner
* Also includes canning rack, funnel, jar lifter, jar wrencher, bubble freer, tongs and lid lifter.
* A Kitchen Krafts exclusive collection.

This is the same type of standard canner that my grandmother used to make everything from applesauce to jams and jellies to tomato and spaghetti sauce. This complete kit includes everything you need and lasts for years: the canner, jar rack, jar grabber tongs, lid lifting wand, a plastic funnel, labels, bubble freer. It's much cheaper than buying the items separately. You'll never need anything else except jars & lids (and the jars are reusable)! There is also a simple kit with just the canner and rack, and a pressure canner, if you want to do vegetables (other than tomatoes). To see more canners, of different styles, makes and prices, click here!
Don't forget the Ball Blue Book!
