Below are the U-Pick orchards and farms for flowers that we know of in this area. Not all areas of any state, nor even every state, have flowers orchards that are open to the public. If you know of any others, please tell us using the add a farm form!

Conditions at the farms and crops can change literally overnight, so if you want to avoid a wasted trip out there - check with the farm directly before you go! If I cannot reach them, I DON'T GO!

Crops are usually available in October, November, December.The farm provides hayrides, pick your own sunflowers, fish feeding, the outstandingly popular apple cannons, and plenty of picnic tables for visitors. We also carry thousands of pumpkins for you to choose from as well as a wide variety of additional fall harvest crops for eating and decorating with. Fall is a beautiful time at the farm and the weather is just right for an afternoon in the country. Our Christmas season begins the weekend BEFORE Thanksgiving and runs until the 22nd of December. With over two thousand choose and cut trees to choose from each year you are certain to find the "perfect" tree every time! Bring plenty of warm clothes, a big hunger for marshmallows, and your camera. Building Christmas memories is something we live to do!

 

Flower Picking Tips, and Information

Farms that offer U-pick or pick-your-own flowers are becoming more common.

  • Once picked, quickly get the stems into water
  • Get them out of the hot sun after picking to increase shelf life.  Cool shade is best.
  • Re-cut stems while underwater - once you get home. Making a fresh cut, while the cut end is submerged helps the stem to take up water and avoid a vapor lock.
