Below are the U-Pick orchards and farms for muscadines that we know of in this area. Not all areas of any state, nor even every state, have muscadines orchards that are open to the public. If you know of any others, please tell us using the add a farm form!

Conditions at the farms and crops can change literally overnight, so if you want to avoid a wasted trip out there - check with the farm directly before you go! If I cannot reach them, I DON'T GO!

Open: Typical season is from mid August to October, Monday to Saturday, from 8 am to 7 pm; Call before you come. Directions: From Edgefield, South Carolina take highway 25 north. In 3.5 miles turn right on to Pleasant Lane. In 2.5 miles turn right on to Sleepy Creek. In 1.5 miles turn right on to Prince Circle. Follow signs. . Click here for a map and directions. Types of Grapes
There are several; types of grapes:
Muscadines and Scuppernongs, Large, very sweet southern grapes with large seeds
Pick ripe: Grapes do not ripen after they are picked
Appearance: Look for heavy, firm grapes
To harvest grapes, carefully cut the grape clusters from the vine using pruning shears. Be careful not to bruise or damage the fruit
or the surrounding vines.
