This page provides a detailed list of Arizona's pick-your-own (PYO, U-pick, pick-it-yourself) farms. I'm always looking for suggestions of more farms and events to add and feedback about any you have visited, so if you encounter any, just click on the preceding link, as appropriate! And if you have a farm and want to add it or correct the information, please click on the link to "add my farm". Remember to ALWAYS either email, call or click the link to the farm's own website (if they have one) on the morning before you go, to confirm hours, conditions and availability of the specific crops you want!! We also have our own free and simple, step-by-step, illustrated instructions on canning, freezing and drying many fruits and vegetables, such as how to make jam, apple butter, applesauce, spaghetti sauce, salsa, pickles, ketchup or freezing corn . If you are looking for Canners, mixes, jars, pectin and other canning supplies at the best prices anywhere! Note about berries in Arizona: As far as I know, there are NO
pick-your-own farms for strawberries, raspberries, blackberries or blueberries
in Arizona. The heat of the summer appears to be too much for these plants
to survive. If you hear of any that are currently in business,
please let me know!
U-Pick Farms and Orchards, sorted by countyRemember: ALWAYS call (or follow the link to the farm's own website, if the name is a blue link) to confirm the information before you go! They may close, run out or change events, times, etc. without notifying me!Cochise County

Comments from visitors: A visitor writes on October 27, 2006: "They do not allow the public to do U-Pick Veggies during October. Their website says nothing about any restrictions regarding the U-Pick garden - but the gal behind the counter informed us that we weren't allowed to enter the garden and pick anything because they needed to save the veggies for the kids that are there on school field trips. I'm home schooling my son, and asked her if that even made a difference in the restriction - it did not. I asked when do they begin letting the public pick - she wasn't completely sure - but figured sometime in Nov. " Comment from another visitor, October 22, 2007: "...They advertise all kinds of things you can pick, but when you get there the only thing available is cucumber. We drove an hour only to be treated rudely when we expected what was advertised and a high price for the entrance and the so called "pick em" This used to be a great family farm for the October festivities, but the only thing I have seen in the last few years from them have been higher prices and less offered." Another visitor writes on October 28, 2007: "I agree with the person who wrote in on October 22, Tolmachoff farm used to be a great place to take your family to. Recently they have started to charge for entrance (more than is reasonable for their size), also they have unreasonably high prices and not a lot to offer, however some of the things they do offer are interesting for young children. " A visitor writes on February 1, 2008: "I also visited in October, during the fall festival. I didn't find the entrance fee unreasonable or any employees rude, and we had a blast! Especially our 8 year old daughter. The farm had a petting zoo, bounce houses, 2 corn mazes, a kid's 'train' ride, a tricycle racing area, and some kids playground equipment. The pumpkins were a little expensive, but the rest of the goods in the market were reasonable. We bought preserves, apple butter, and one big pumpkin." A visitor writes on September 04, 2008: "I just read some of the comments on your site and I wanted to let you know that we have gone to the farm for many years and enjoy everything they have to offer and everyone is so friendly. They offer activities for children of all ages, we have many great memories of the farm. Each year they add more & more we will continue to go every year, our 4 year old son would not come out of the corn box "what a blast". We are looking forward to this up coming season. Sincerly, Cindy" A visitor writes on September 05, 2008: "I have been a customer of Tolmachoff Farms for many years!! Every year seems to get better and better! My children have such a terrific time when we have visited!! From the petting zoo, to the train ride and the wonderful vegetable garden and large assortment of pumpkins, YOU just couldn't ask for more!!!!!!! The employees have always been courteous and very helpful when it comes to providing us with information about the farm or any general questions we have had. They are very professional. The best time to visit the farm is in October when they have so many fun activities!!! The haunted corn maze its definitely our favorite, not to mention a low admission cost which is also a great deal!! A lot of the other haunted mazes in town can be twice as much if not more!!!!! Definitely would recommend this farm experience to any family wanting to have some good fun for a great price!! You can tell this is a real FAMILY RUN farm, it definitely shows!!! " A visitor writes on September 14, 2008: "we love tolmachoff farms, when their sweet corn and vineripe tomatoes are in season they are the best in this state. we can't wait for this pumpkin season its so much fun." Has anyone else got any experiences to share, positive or negative? Write me!
