Vegetable U-Pick Orchards in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa and central Alabama in 2024, by county

Below are the U-Pick orchards and farms for vegetables that we know of in this area. Not all areas of any state, nor even every state, have vegetables orchards that are open to the public. If you know of any others, please tell us using the add a farm form!

Remember to always check with the farm's own website or Facebook page before you go - or call or email them if they don't have a website or Facebook page. Conditions at the farms and crops can change literally overnight, so if you want to avoid a wasted trip out there - check with the farm directly before you go! If I cannot reach them, I DON'T GO!

Blount County

  • Daniel Allman / Allman Farms - UPDATE for 2024: No longer offering U-Pick - ONLY already harvested tomatoes, restrooms, plus a farm market with other pre-picked vegetables

At top of mountain take a left on County Road 12 stay on that road until it ends and turn left on County Road 29, stay on that road until you come to a T we will be on your left. From Oneonta take Highway 231 South the road will turn into a 3 lane take your first road on you right it will be County Road 29 stay on that road until it runs into a T, we will be on you left.
  • Jerry Marsh Farm - Muscadines, strawberries, vegetables

We have strawberries and a wide variety of you pick vegetables. They think the strawberries will be ready to pick about mid-April (but he told me to call back then to be sure). 2021 prices are U pick $12 Gallon Bucket, Already picked $14 Gallon Bucket.
